Portland, Oregon (August 18, 2022)— John’s Marketplace is pleased to introduce the Bourbon Barrel-Aged Party Like, an exclusive creation by Fremont Brewing. Fremont Brewing is a family-owned craft brewery founded in 2009 in Seattle, WA.
Fremont Brewing created Party Like in 2021 to celebrate John’s Marketplace as Portland’s iconic bottle shop with 22 years in business. The beer is a Mexican-style coffee stout made with whole ancho chilis, cinnamon, and Roaster’s Choice whole bean coffee from Lighthouse Roasters, a local business near Fremont Brewing.
Now, after more than 12 months in bourbon barrels, the combination of coffee, chilis, cinnamon, and barrel aging creates a complex and layered stout with a touch of heat and bitterness.
“I’m a big Imperial Stout fan and we’ve been waiting for this,” said Paul Petros, co-owner of John’s Marketplace. “The bottles will be available for purchase at both our stores in Portland, and at Fremont Brewing on Saturday, August 27.”
