Come celebrate Stout Month at John’s Marketplace this Valentines Day with dark beers from some legendary breweries. Can’t make it to Astoria? We bring you world renowned dark brews from all over the country & world to Powell Blvd every year since 2020.

Plan to grab lunch with friends from The Original Food Carts next door and enjoy tasting the darkest, smoothest of beers. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

    Imperial stout fermented on toasted oak with almond flour, cocoa powder, cinnamon sticks, vanilla beans, guajillo chiles, and habanero chiles.

  • Bottle Logic Brewing (California)Flesh to Stone (13.7% ABV)
    A special treatment of Arcane Rituals English-style barleywine, aged 12 months in bourbon barrels and finished 8 months in peach brandy barrels.

  • Bombastic Brewing (Idaho)Pandemonium (10.5% ABV)
    Peanut butter, marshmallow, and bittersweet chocolate combine for a decadent take on the classic fluffernutter.

  • Great Notion Brewing (Oregon)9 pm (14.1% ABV)
    Double-barrel imperial stout aged 28 months in Breckenridge bourbon barrels, then finished 6 months in Starlight rum casks.

  • Delirium Brewery (Belgium)Delirium Black (11.5% ABV)
    A blend of Delirium Nocturnum and Delirium Noël, aged 9 months in oak with vanilla, caramel, spice, and toasted almond notes.

  • Russian River Brewing Company (California)Shadow of a Doubt (9.9% ABV)
    Imperial porter (non-barrel-aged) with layers of chocolate, tobacco, raisin, and spice, named for the Hitchcock classic.

  • Fremont Brewing (Washington)Brew 8000 (13.4% ABV)
    World Class English-style barleywine celebrating Fremont’s 8,000th brew, aged 16 months in 10–15-year single-use bourbon barrels.

  • Revolution Brewing (Illinois)Café Deth (14.8% ABV)
    Imperial oatmeal stout aged in bourbon barrels and steeped with whole-bean coffee from Dark Matter Coffee.

  • pFriem Family Brewers (Oregon)Cognac Barrel-Aged Belgian Dark Ale (10.1% ABV)
    Elegant and layered, with aromas of dried dates, brown sugar, toffee, ripe plum, and warm spice.

  • Fort George Brewery (Oregon)Dirt Sandwich (7% ABV)
    A Festival of the Dark Arts favorite and one of two non-barrel-aged beers in the lineup, inspired by the nostalgic dessert with peanuts, peanut butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

FAQ:
Can I buy additional drink tickets?
Yes. $5 per additional ticket. Each ticket is for one 4 ounce pour. A limit of 2 additional tickets per person.

Can I buy additional taster glasses?
Yes. $5 each, from the front register.

Can I bring my dog?
We LOVE dogs, but service animals only please. The store gets crowded on the day of the Fest.
